Josh Gibson Field
Last weekend I worked on a mural with several other artists through the MLK project, putting images up in the dug outs of Josh Gibson field in the Hill District of Pittsburgh. It was really rainy on Saturday and were able to get one coat of paint, the dug out I worked in was the only one that wasn't gated, so we were a little bit behind painting over all of the sharpie marker. Sunday I had about four hours to get this image up. The best part of the day was when two little girls showed up and I let them help me, one of them asked me if we could paint over all of the curse words around the park. Some boys showed up not realizing we were working there, one of them described it as "hard," (not in the sense that it was difficult but as in good) and another said "It's over".

Super Real Estate
So here it is, my 500th post.
Thanks to all who have check out the blog over the years. I've learned a lot during this time and the blog has been a nice way to archive my comics, paintings and other projects.
Although sometimes as the I use a similar formula I have grown a little tired of the single frame black and white comics and haven't been posting as much. Figuring out where I need to go in new directions left me with a bit of a hiatus.
Recently I have begun doing some work with colored India Ink and been thinking about the origins of humanity. Also I have been more interested in creating stories rather than single jokes. Sometimes humor can come from knowing a character and that isn't always easily expressed in single frames. Sure, I could use familiar copy written characters like Batman, but I am more interested in developing my own characters.
I'm looking forward to sharing my artistic projects based upon that in the near future.

Square Dance
This is the last project I did for school. I will take a moment to explain the process and concept.
Process: Each of the four prints has the same plate printed on it four time, each time from a different orientation. Color India ink was then used to turn the different shapes into figures and animals. One of the plates on each print was left uncolored to show the original line work.
Concept: This project was a game. I made a set of rules to abide by to create an order and sense of pattern. While the scribbled etching and making up the forms and figures was the chance of this game.
