Self Portrait
I find self portraits to be one of the least interesting projects for me. Since it's my birthday week though, I thought I would share some of the self portraits I had put a lot of work into for school. This one is obviously an abstract self portrait. It's about me waking up in the morning after the boggle of dreams I have. The past four or five months I wake up with thoughts about "what is art?" I don't know why my mind finds this to be such a relevant subject of conversation.
For me, I would generalize art down to a form of communication. For me, the interesting subject is what role does this communication play with in a communal context. Although this is interesting, I enjoy working impulsively, and letting me work just come out on an internal level a lot of time, such as in this case.

Dolphin Lawyer
This work was done for school. I was supposed to create an image that told a story. My story was of the dolphin lawyer, famous for speaking before the Supreme Court in the controversial decision to give dolphins the right to vote. Although dolphins were highly supported by a liberal following, the dolphin lawyer soon turn coated, becoming a registered Republican to gain political leverage. Under his leadership, he would soon get Manatees the right to vote, and Florida would be a permanent red state. But at this time, the dolphin lawyer's public image was too questionable. He took up work as a trial attorney, establishing a reputation as a prosecuting attorney very tough on crime.
The dolphin lawyer had hand picked this particular case. My friend Jaime is charged with stealing fertilizer equipment from an Iowa farm, for the purposes of supplying a meth lab. Now being cross examined by the Dolphin Lawyer, Jaime is not about to be out done by this aquatic mammal. The image is a rendering I made that depicts the turning point of the trial.
